Deep Knowledge Group / UltraTech

Building the
technologies
of the 2030s.

Extraordinary science needs a route to extraordinary impact.

UltraTech brings a decade of DKG’s frontier technology analysis to the scientists, engineers and collaborations capable of creating the next industrial era.

The foundation

An agenda built
over a decade.

By the time an emerging field becomes a conventional market, many of its decisive technical choices have already been made. We work earlier.

For more than ten years, Deep Knowledge Group has invested in the frameworks, datasets and analytical infrastructure needed to understand frontier science: mapping its participants, comparing capabilities, examining technical readiness and forecasting development.

UltraTech extends that work into a focused programme for the technologies with the potential to create new industries. The ambition is substantial; so is the need to distinguish a promising hypothesis, a working result and a deployable system.

01

Understand the frontier

Classify technologies and map the people, organisations and capabilities behind them.

Explore the frameworks
02

Examine the evidence

Compare maturity and performance, test assumptions, and separate demonstrated progress from unsupported claims.

See QuantumTech
03

Build the connections

Connect scientific capability with engineering, data, resources and routes to practical implementation.

Discover what is coming

From infrastructure to execution

The next phase.

Established analytical work. New tools to compare capabilities and bring the right people together.

Active analytical platform

QuantumTech

Quantum technologies provide a concrete starting point: a field where scientific depth, engineering constraints and ecosystem intelligence must be understood together.

Our QuantumTech work connects the landscape of quantum computing, communications and sensing with the organisations and capabilities shaping its development.

UltraTech
smart-matching platform

A platform being developed to connect scientists and technology projects with relevant funders, collaborators and resources, using structured profiles of capabilities and needs.

Contribute: software, data quality, matching methods, technical project assessment and ecosystem development.

Help build the platform

Further advanced programmes are being developed outside the public portfolio. Where there is a clear technical fit, selected contributors may be invited into confidential discussions as those programmes become ready for disclosure.

Areas of interest

Think in capabilities.
Work across boundaries.

We are interested in substantial ideas, existing assets and exceptional personal capabilities. These are entry points, not the limits of the agenda.

01

Quantum technologies

Computing, sensing, communications, enabling hardware and the software that makes new capabilities useful.

02

Advanced materials & manufacturing

New material properties, molecular engineering and manufacturing approaches that unlock otherwise impractical systems.

03

Energy & propulsion

High-impact approaches to energy conversion, storage, propulsion and the engineering constraints around them.

04

Neurotechnology & intelligent systems

Measurement, interfaces and adaptive software that connect biological understanding with technical capability.

05

Space & human performance

Extreme-environment physiology, space medicine, advanced monitoring and technologies supporting human resilience.

06

Advanced measurement & anomalous phenomena

Novel sensors, rigorous investigation of unusual observations, and reproducible analysis of UAP-related or other unresolved physical data.

Independent researchers, open-source builders and scientists working outside conventional institutional pathways are welcome. Show us the work, the evidence and what it could enable.

Work with us

Bring us something
that moves the field.

An ambitious idea. A working technology. A rare capability.
A clear next step we could take together.

People who can build

Scientists, engineers, software developers, analysts and exceptional scientific communicators. We are expanding the team through paid roles, part-time work and defined project contributions.

Formal credentials can be useful; original work, technical judgement and the ability to execute are essential.

Projects worth advancing

We welcome proposals for joint research and development, technical collaboration, resource support, funding consideration, joint grant applications and IP licensing or acquisition.

Tell us what is distinctive, what already exists, what can be demonstrated and what would unlock the next milestone.

Start with a concise, non-confidential introduction.

Detailed technical material and any confidential disclosure can follow once an appropriate discussion and agreement are in place.

Show us your capabilities.

Share your strongest work, the kind of role or contribution you are seeking, and your availability. You can attach your CV or supporting material below.

A few practical points

Ambitious ideas.
Clear next steps.

What makes a proposal relevant?

A meaningful technical advance, a distinctive capability or an original approach to a major problem. Explain the evidence, the limitations, the next milestone and what you need to achieve it. Early concepts are welcome when the scientific reasoning and proposed test are clear.

Can I contribute without an institutional affiliation?

Yes. We welcome independent scientists, open-source contributors, entrepreneurs and people whose strongest work falls outside conventional career paths. Include concrete examples of what you can do.

Are the Index and smart-matching platform already available?

The Global QuantumTech Competitiveness Index is in preparation and the UltraTech smart-matching platform is in development. This page introduces the agenda and provides a route to the team; it is not the live matching service.

Does submitting an introduction guarantee funding or a role?

No. A relevant introduction starts a discussion. Any funding, employment, resource commitment, IP transaction or partnership requires separate assessment and agreement.

What should I share first?

A short, non-confidential explanation and a link to your work. Please do not send unpublished secrets, sensitive personal data or restricted third-party material in an initial message.
