Landmark Summits Reveal How the Future of National Economies Will Be Reshaped by the Intersection of AI, Longevity, Finance and Governance
Landmark AI for Longevity and Longevity Policy and Governance Summits Reveal Unrecognized Synergies between AI and Practical Implementation of Healthy Longevity
November 14, 2019, London, UK: Deep Knowledge Group executives Dmitry Kaminksiy and Eric Kihlstrom spoke at a landmark one-day event held yesterday at King’s College London with the strategic support Deep Knowledge Group. The event united two Longevity-themed summits under the shared strategic agenda of enabling a paradigm shift from treatment to prevention and from prevention to Precision Health via the synergistic efforts of science, industry, AI, policy and governance, to enable the UK to become an international leader in Healthy Longevity.
The AI for Longevity Summit and the International Longevity Policy and Governance Summit were organized by the Longevity AI Consortium at King’s College London and Longevity International UK, with the strategic support of Deep Knowledge Group, Aging Research at King’s (ARK), the Biogerontology Research Foundation, and Aging Analytics Agency.
Together the summits managed to attract the interest of major Tech, Pharma and Financial corporations, and featured presentations and panel discussions from top executives and directors of Prudential, HSBC, AXA, Legal & General, Longevity.Capital, Longevity Vision Fund, Juvenescence, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Babylon Health, Insilico Medicine, Longevity International UK, the Longevity AI Consortium and others.
“AI for Longevity is still an underrepresented sector within the broader global Longevity Industry, despite having more potential to increasing Healthy Longevity in the short-term future than any other sector. But it is our aim to change that with the launch of the Longevity AI Consortium at King’s College London, which will work to facilitate the shift from treatment to prevention and from preventive medicine to real-world Precision Heath. Deep Knowledge Ventures has long recognized the importance of this sector, and one of our very first investments was in an AI for Longevity startup in 2014. It also remains a large focus of our strategic agenda to this day, and will be one of the most heavily prioritized sectors of the target investment portfolio of our new Longevity-focused hybrid investment fund, Longevity.Capital.” said Dmitry Kaminskiy, Managing Partner of Deep Knowledge Group.
Through the efforts of its subsidiaries, Deep Knowledge Group has been working tirelessly to develop sophisticated methods for translating advanced AI for Longevity solutions, frameworks and technologies into practice, at the intersection of health as new wealth, novel applications of life data for insurance companies, pension funds, healthcare corporations and government bodies, new technologies, instruments and solutions at the forefront of the rising Longevity Financial Industry, and practical applications of preventive medicine and Precision Health. And now, for the first time, Deep Knowledge Group executives disclosed at these landmark Longevity-themes summits a portion of that knowledge and its agenda for 2020 and beyond to key decision makers in the sectors of AI, Longevity, Precision Health and Finance.
“It may come as a surprise to many people that the challenge and opportunity of short-term extension of Healthy Longevity is not a scientific problem, but a data management problem. The required technologies are already here, and the only missing ingredient is the use of AI and data science to make sense of the massive volume of data, and to coordinate it effectively. This means that AI will be the main driver of progress in the practical implementation of preventive medicine, and will be strictly necessary to scale any efforts for Longevity-progressive countries to increase their National Healthy Longevity.” said Eric Kihlstrom, Partner of Deep Knowledge Ventures.
